GenBI UMA Commissariat conducts GENFESEN (GenBI Arts Festival) activities with the theme “Exploring the Spirit of Culture and Building a Spirit of Partnership with GenBI UMA”. This activity was carried out directly at the University of Medan Area – Campus 1 (Jl. H. Agus Salim Siregar, Kenangan Baru, Medan Tembung District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra on Friday 27 October 2023).
This activity was attended by the North Sumatra GenBI Trustees, namely Mr. Jazari Abdul Hamid and his older brother Catrin Tobing, Qris and CBPR (Love, Proud, Understand the Rupiah), Deputy Chancellor for Innovation, Student Affairs and Alumni, namely Mr. Dr. Rizkan Zulyadi, SH, MH, Head of the Student, Alumni and Information Administration Bureau (BAKAI) namely Mrs. Sri Irawati, S.Sos, MAP, Faculty Deans and their staff, Heads of Study Programs and their staff, Talkshow resource person namely M. Bobby Ramadhana SST, Coordinator Regional Head, namely Fadilah Haryu Afsari, General Chairperson of the UMA Commissariat GenBI namely Dio Ananda Pratama, General Secretary of the UMA Commissariat GenBI, General Treasurer of the UMA Commissariat GenBI namely Syarafina Nurin Nasution, KSB and BPH from the USU, UNIMED, UINSU, UNPAB, POLMED and UHN Commissariat ( Nomensen), Delegates from all commissariats, UMA Commissariat GenBI Commissioners Batch 7, 8 and 9, Media Partner Delegates, High School Children, UMA Students, Competition Participants and all GENFESEN (GenBI Arts Festival) activity committees.
Some of the activities carried out were starting from a procession of invited guests with dancing, followed by the opening MC by Mira and Aldi, singing the songs Indonesia Raya and Mars GenBI led by the Conductor, namely Ruth, then the opening dance, reading prayers by Darma, welcoming remarks from all parties , Socialization of QRIS and CBPR (Love Proud of Understanding the Rupiah), followed by a talk show with M. Bobby Ramadhana SST and guided by a moderator, entertainment performances from talents, entertainment performances from the winners of the GENFESEN competition, distribution of prizes, group photos and a closing statement delivered by Mr. Dr. Rizkan Zulyadi, SH, MH.
Quoting Robert Alan’s statement about “Cultural differences should not separate us from each other, but rather cultural diversity brings collective strength that can benefit all of humanity” as the intention of holding this activity.
The aim of this activity is to make performing arts activities a positive place for creativity for students, to achieve the growth of creative, innovative and competitive power in the souls of students and also all parties involved in this activity, to develop enthusiasm for developing talents and creativity in the field of creativity and art, building, increasing and maintaining a sense of love for Indonesian culture and arts as well as building cohesiveness and solidarity for the North Sumatra GenBI community, GenBI UMA Commissariat and all parties involved in it, and achieving the provision of education or understanding related to Qris and CBPR ( Cinta Bangga Paham Rupiah).
