The learning outcomes of the course are students are expected to be able to explain the principes of Law and Customary Law, History and Circumtances of Customary Laws, explain the Characteristics of Customary Law and State Administration of Customary Law, explain the position of Individuals and Families in Customary Law Communities, explain the Law of Family Relations and In Law Relationship and Marriage in Customary Law, explains the Customary Law of Inheritance, explains about Ulayat Rights, Verbintenis Law and Customary law offense

Description :

This Islamic Religion course is a general course programmed at the first level at the University of Medan Area. By learning the course, students are expected to be able to understand Islam in an essential way so that Islamic values can underlie their thoughts, attitudes, and behavior which are reflected in daily life against the prohibition of polluting and destroying the environment, orders to protect the survival of all creatures from the threat of extinction, to plant useful plants, to do good to every living creature, orders to utilize items that can still be used and prohibition of torturing animals.

Description :

Sustainable built environment is a second semester subject in the Architecture department with the learning outcomes of this course are students are expected to be able to describe the technological aspects of medium and wide-span building planning, be able to choose the material technology used in a medium and wide-span building, be able to design utility systems in a medium-sized building project by applying a core building system and principles of sustainable building. The textbook entitled  “Lingkungan Binaan Berkelanjutan” above is one of the textbooks written and published by UMA Press and used by students of architecture department for sustainable built environment course.

Sustainability Report

Description

UMA regularly updates its sustainability report per six month. The reports describe environmental parameters assessment examined by environmental services department. The examination covers the air quality, noise, emission, air ambient, wastewater quality. It requires proper waste management, water conservation, waste quality standard as well as transmitted diseases spread prevention by proper treatment of disease agents.
