In order to increase the concern in realizing a green and sustainable environment, University of Medan Area constantly promotes the implementation and management of environmental sustainability, both inside and ouside the campus area.
One of the third party stakeholders of UMA in this case is SMA Negeri 2 Plus Panyabungan Kab. Mandailing Natal that was just visited by the Governor of North Sumatra, Edi Rahmayadi.
The Governor of North Sumatra, Edi Rahmayadi and the head of Family Welfare Programme (TP. PKK) of North Sumatera, Nawal Lubis and her entourage made a working visit to review the revitalization of school building construction and the handover of school buses from the CSR of Bank Sumut.
On that occasion, the head of Family Welfare Programme (TP. PKK) of North Sumatera, Mrs. Nawal Lubis, also symbolically handed over a compost house from Marbisuk Foundation to SMAN 2 Plus Panyabungan.
The machine and compost house given are the work of University of Medan Area’s lecturers, Bobby Umroh, ST, MT and Abdul Karim, S.Si, M.Si.
It is expected that in the future SMA Negeri 2 Plus Panyabungan will become a pioneer in environmental conservation and waste management in North Sumatra.
